Barkada Modern is a Hip-Hop Dance Team founded in 2005, formed with the sole purpose of showcasing members’ talents in hip hop dance every year at Barkada’s Pilipino American Culture Night. Later, members decided upon themselves to take it a step further and create a dance team that proudly upholds Barkada’s values and carries the name of Barkada.
The team is comprised of a diverse group of individuals, some who have no prior experience of hip hop dancing and others who enjoy sharing their skills and passion for dancing. From being an exhibition team to being a competitive team, b.mod’s recognition grows in the dance community while performing and sharing the stage with many other great, competitive teams.
